Following the incident at our Junior High School on November 4, we want to personally acknowledge the concern this has brought to our school community.
As parents, community members, and District leaders, we understand how deeply the well-being of our children matters to every family. Please know that the safety and well-being of our students and staff remain at the forefront of our work and decisions.
We extend our sincere appreciation to the Exeter Township Police Department, Central Berks Police Department, our administration, teachers, and support staff for their professionalism, collaboration, and dedication in responding to this incident.
While the investigation remains ongoing, our commitment to school safety continues. We remain focused on working collaboratively, evaluating our practices, and supporting the students, families, and staff entrusted to our care.
Our responsibility does not end when an incident is resolved. It continues every day through our actions, preparation, and commitment to our school community. Please look for further information from us in a few more minutes about how you can also be a part of this conversation.
Thank you for the trust you place in our schools and the dedicated individuals who serve our students each day.
Sincerely,
Dr. Christy Haller
